We’re pleased to announce that the new information board at the Crooked Hythe has now been installed and is looking fantastic.
The original board, which had provided historical context and visual interest for many years, had suffered significant weathering due to its exposed coastal location. The sea air and changing weather conditions had gradually taken their toll, leaving the sign faded and damaged.
A project to replace the board—while staying true to the original design—has now been completed. The new board features the same content and layout but is produced using modern materials and includes a UV protective coating, ensuring it remains clear and vibrant for years to come.
Thanks to all who contributed to the restoration effort. It’s great to see this small but important part of our local heritage preserved for residents and visitors alike.
