Findochty Primary School pupil Joey Leith has achieved national recognition after reaching the top 20 in a UK-wide World Cup poetry competition.

The competition attracted entries from across the country, making Joey’s achievement a fantastic accomplishment and something the local community can be very proud of.

Joey is now waiting to hear whether his poem will be selected as one of the final top two entries in the competition.

Everyone at Findochty Community Council would like to congratulate Joey on his success so far and wish him the very best of luck for the final stage of judging.
